The theme I have chosen for my portfolio is waste in Florida.  I will explore different depictions of trash in order to bring a new perspective of  how garbage interacts within our environment. My goal is to help the viewer see garbage as potential inspiration. By presenting the waste as new objects that have seductive qualities, they are no longer overlooked.  On the contrary, their hapless, misshapen forms become all the more interesting.  Ultimately, my aim is to get the viewer to realize the redeeming beauty in the garbage and waste that so often goes unnoticed- perhaps, making them understand its potential to be reused in some way.
